Privacy notice

This site collects personal data in one place only: the enquiry form. This notice explains what is collected, why, and your rights.

Who we are

ASK Consultants (Austin Kielty), Elphin, Co. Roscommon. Contact: Austin@askconsultants.ie or 086 238 4520. For the purposes of data protection law, ASK Consultants is the data controller for information you submit through this site.

What we collect and why

When you submit the enquiry form we collect the details you enter. Required fields are your name, email address, phone number, the county and the service you need. You can optionally add the property address and Eircode, the type of dwelling, its size and number of bedrooms, the rough year it was built, the MPRN, the purpose of the BER cert, and any notes on additional works you are considering.

These are the details needed to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the assessment. Responding to your request is the legal basis for processing.

Where the data goes

The form is processed by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, which stores submissions and forwards them to ASK Consultants by email. Netlify acts as a data processor; its own privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy. Your details are not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for anything beyond handling your enquiry and any work that follows from it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and for any period afterwards that legal or tax obligations require. Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email Austin@askconsultants.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
